As they say...April showers will bring May flowers! It seems like we've been getting more rain this month and not so many flowers but there are some things growing in our classroom! This month's curriculum theme is "Growing Gardens." The children have had the opportunity to play with dirt and are also growing some grass in the classroom! We have been learning all about seeds, roots and all the important things that plants need to grow. These last two weeks have brought us beautiful weather and has allowed us the chance to explore outside. We usually play in the playground but go into the park nook at least once a week. This gives the children the opportunity to freely explore all the things growing in the nook-- flowers on trees, flowers (which they have learned are really weeds in the nook space!) and have also observed living things that live in the trees and the tree stump found in the nook. Here are some photos from last week and earlier this morning! Enjoy!
